Silicon manganese alloy is a commonly used composite deoxidizer in steelmaking, and also a reducing agent for low-carbon manganese iron and electro silicothermic production of metallic manganese in production.

About Silicon Manganese 6517

Silicon manganese alloy is used in steelmaking. The deoxidized products, MnSiO₃ and Mn₂SiO₄, have melting points of 1270°C and 1327°C, respectively. They offer advantages such as a low melting point, large particle size, high floatability, and excellent deoxidation effectiveness.

Specifications and Particle Size: Natural lump, 10-100mm, powder, or customizable.

Packaging: One metric ton in a large bag, or customized to meet customer requirements.

Silicon manganese alloy is an alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron, and a small amount of carbon. Silicon manganese alloy is primarily used as an intermediate deoxidizer and alloying agent in steelmaking and is also a primary raw material for the production of medium- and low-carbon ferromanganese. Silicon manganese alloys can also be smelted in continuous operation in large, medium and small submerged electric arc furnaces.
